Job Description
- Amazon is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join its Direct Tax Reporting team in Hyderabad, India
- This role supports the Worldwide CapEx team with the reporting of US income tax consequences for Amazon s unparalleled global portfolio of assets
- The role focuses on Leasing and covers real estate and equipment assets, lessee and lessor operations, and all lifecycle events for both operating and fice leases
- A successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, great attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven, dynamic environment
- Experience automating the organization of vast amounts of data into useful information is essential
- Assist in preparation of Amazon s US income tax provision, forecast, and tax returns as it relates to leasing transactions by analyzing US GAAP reporting, determining book-tax differences, preparing workpapers and technical memorandums, and performing tax law research
- Complete deferred tax reconciliations for leased assets; identify drivers of basis differences
- Identify and implement process improvements which increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy of data
- Develop analyses, metrics, and narratives to be communicated to tax management, external auditors, and other stakeholders within and outside tax
- Coordinate information requests with business partners to ensure accurate and timely inclusion within various tax reporting deliverables
- Participate in special projects as assigned
- Bachelors degree
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department Knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and entries
