Job Title: Snowflake Data Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Snowflake, SQL, and data pipeline development, with the ability to work in fast-paced, data-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines on Snowflake
• Build and optimize data models, schemas, and data flows
• Implement Snowflake features like Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, and Cloning
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions
• Ensure data quality, performance tuning, and reliability across all pipelines
• Integrate Snowflake with tools like DBT, Airflow, Kafka, and cloud storage (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Perform SQL performance tuning and manage warehouse optimisation
• Ensure security, governance, and best practices for cloud data platforms
• Troubleshoot pipeline issues and support production systems

Mandatory Skills

Experience in Snowflake Data Engineering
Strong SQL (joins, window functions, optimization)
Hands-on with ETL/ELT development and cloud data pipelines
Experience with Snowflake components Warehouses, Roles, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks
Proficiency in Python for data processing
Experience with Airflow / DBT / any orchestration tool
Good understanding of data warehousing concepts

Good-to-Have Skills

Experience with Azure
Knowledge of Spark / Databricks
Basic understanding of CI/CD and version control (Git)
Knowledge of performance tuning & cost optimization in Snowflake
