Job Description
About Position:
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead to drive the automation strategy for cloud-based applications. In this role, you will lead a team of QA automation engineers, design and maintain robust automation frameworks using Pytest and BDD, and ensure seamless integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. You will be responsible for validating cloud environments (preferably Azure) for scalability and reliability, collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards, and mentoring team members on best practices.

What You'll Do:
- Lead the QA automation team and define automation strategy cloud-based applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Pytest and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development).
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance.
- Perform cloud testing across environments (Preferably Azure) ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure test coverage and quality standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and drive preventive measures.
- Mentor team members on best practices in automation and QA processes.
- Ensure compliance with security, performance, and reliability standards.
Expertise You'll Bring:
- Strong proficiency in Python and Pytest framework.
- Hands-on experience with BDD tools (e.g., Behave, Cucumber).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-based testing strategies.
- Basic Linux command-line skills for environment setup and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases for data validation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of manual testing as well
- Strong communication, both written and verbal is required
