Job Title: Backend Engineer (Python/FastAPI, AWS, Kubernetes)
Location: Bangalore
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI for scalable backend services.
- Design and implement webhook-based data ingestion pipelines to integrate with external platforms (e.g., marketing, CRM, SaaS tools).
- Build asynchronous processing workflows leveraging AWS SQS, SNS, and Lambda for reliable event handling.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization using AWS Cognito and JWT.
- Manage PostgreSQL databases, ensuring optimized queries, schema design, and migrations.
- Containerize applications using Docker and deploy on Kubernetes (EKS/ECS) for high availability and scalability.
- Integrate APIs with AWS API Gateway, ensuring proper routing, throttling, and monitoring.
- Ensure observability through structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL optimization.
- Expertise in AWS services: API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Cognito, Lambda.
- Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS).
- Experience with webhook integrations and event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of security best practices (HMAC validation, JWT, TLS).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Good understanding of microservices architecture and scalable system design.
Nice to Have
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, or similar observability tools.
- Familiarity with Helm charts and GitOps workflows.
- Exposure to marketing/CRM SaaS platforms (HubSpot, Stripe, Shopify, etc.).
