Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Hiring for ROSA - Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS
1. ROSA Platform Administration
- Deploy, configure, and manage ROSA clusters (Private/Public clusters).
- Perform day-to-day cluster operations, including scaling, upgrades, patching, and monitoring.
- Manage OpenShift Nodes, Operators, Projects, and Namespaces.
- Implement and manage OpenShift Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- Configure Cluster Logging, Monitoring, Alerts, and Performance Tuning.
2. AWS Infrastructure Management for ROSA
- Manage AWS resources required for ROSA such as:
- VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, IAM Roles
- Load Balancers (ALB/NLB)
- EBS, S3, CloudWatch Logs
- Route 53 and VPC Endpoints
- Implement network connectivity like Direct Connect / VPN / Transit Gateway for ROSA clusters.
3. Security & Compliance
- Enforce RBAC, Pod Security, and Network Policies.
- Implement image security Image Scanning, Quay, Clair, ECR policies.
- Manage Secrets using:
- OpenShift Secrets
- AWS Secrets Manager
- KMS Encryption
- Ensure compliance with the organizations security standards and best practices.
4. Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Use CloudWatch, OpenShift Monitoring stack (Prometheus/Grafana), EFK/ELK for monitoring.
- Troubleshoot cluster issues:
- Networking
- Storage
- API Server / etcd
- Pod Scheduling & Node issues
- Operators & Add-ons
- Perform root cause analysis and prepare incident reports.
5. Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift administration.
- Hands-on experience with ROSA or OpenShift 4.x clusters.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, Load Balancers, RDS, S3, CloudWatch).
- Solid understanding of Linux (RHEL).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, YAML, GitOps tools.
- Good understanding of containerization:
- Docker / Podman
- Container security best practices
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code .
