Job Description: Electrical Panel Technician
Company: Leading MNC Electronics & Automation
Location:Bhosari (Pune)
Department: Manufacturing & Control Systems
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
1. Interpretation of Schematics
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Understand component layout and wiring placement within electrical control panels.
2. Assembly and Installation
- Assemble, mount, and install electrical components such as circuit breakers, relays, switches, PLCs, VFDs, and transformers.
- Ensure accurate and secure placement as per design specifications.
3. Wiring and Termination
- Perform point-to-point wiring including routing, stripping, crimping, and terminating wires.
- Ensure neat, accurate, and compliant wiring as per standards.
4. Testing and Quality Assurance
- Conduct functional testing, continuity checks, and quality inspections.
- Identify wiring errors and verify compliance with safety and quality standards (UL, IEC, NEMA).
5. Troubleshooting and Repair
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues or component malfunctions during assembly or testing.
- Collaborate with engineers to implement solutions.
6. Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, material usage, and engineering changes.
- Update red-line mark-ups when revisions occur.
7. Safety and Compliance
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Diploma or equivalent
- ITI, vocational training, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering strongly preferred.
Technical Knowledge
- Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, AC/DC circuits, control systems, and common electrical components (motors, sensors, etc.).
Tool Proficiency
- Skilled in using hand and power tools: screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, multimeters, etc.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently.
Attention to Detail
- High precision in wiring and assembly to avoid errors and safety hazards.
Problem-Solving
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and fix technical issues.
Communication & Collaboration
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Communicate clearly with engineers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
- Provide feedback for design or process improvements.
