Network Engineer - Chennai @ Inspirisys

Job Description

• Hands-on experience in firewall configuration, administration, and documentation FortiGate, SonicWall, Cisco FTD.
• Switching expertise with Cisco, Aruba, Dell L2/L3 configuration and management.
• Experience in branch network deployment, Aruba,Cisco, Meraki, access points, and three-tier architectures.
• In-depth knowledge of OSI/TCP-IP models, TCP/UDP, IPv4 & IPv6 addressing, subnetting, supernetting.
• Experience in routing protocols OSPF, BGP, EIGRP.
• Proficient in HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, PPP, ARP, and route summarization.
• VLAN/VTP configuration, inter-switch connectivity, STP/PVST+/RPVST+, Trunk & Voice VLAN troubleshooting.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of inter-VLAN routing, static & dynamic routing.
• Access Control Lists (ACLs), Port Security, DHCP snooping, NAT/PAT, NTP, Syslog.
• Device configuration backup/restore, Cisco IOS upgrade, and firmware recovery via FTP/TFTP.
• Network monitoring and alerting experience using PRTG, Solar Winds or similar tools.

Certifications Preferred:

• CCNA / CCNP (R&S or Security)
• Fortinet NSE-4 or higher

Mandatory skills:

• Candidates must have hands-on exposure to FortiGate firewall and Cisco switching/routing.
• Should have practical experience with OSPF, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, and STP protocols.
• Must have worked on PRTG, SolarWinds or equivalent NMS tools.
• Minimum 3 years of enterprise-level networking/security experience is required.
