Senior Software Engineer AS400 / iSeries Developer-5-8 years-Pan India
Location Pan India
Summary An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in AS400 / iSeries technologies to work on multiple high-impact projects. The role involves end-to-end development, technical design, testing, stakeholder collaboration, and mentoring junior team members within an agile delivery environment.

Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design documents and perform impact analysis
- Review code, test plans, and test results
- Perform coding and unit testing using AS400 technologies
- Provide testing support during system integration and user acceptance testing
- Handle release preparation and post-implementation support
- Contribute to non-functional requirements including performance and security testing
- Act as a backup for the technical lead in project-level meetings and stakeholder discussions
- Guide and mentor junior team members
- Work across multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements
- 58 years of overall IT experience
- Strong experience in SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Hands-on expertise in iSeries platform using CLLE, RPGLE, DB2/400, and SQL
- Experience with SQL RPG and Free Format RPG
- Exposure to tools such as JIRA, RDI, RTC, ARCAD, Jenkins, HP Quality Centre, and MQ
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Experience in RESTful API development using IWS on iSeries
- Exposure to test automation tools such as RPGUnit, XFramework, or Tosca
- Experience with Connect Direct or SFTP
- Prior experience in banking or financial applications
