Job Summary
The Client Manager (IC) is responsible for managing and strengthening relationships with assigned clients, ensuring high service quality, policy retention, and client satisfaction. This role focuses on proactive engagement, issue resolution, cross-sell/up-sell opportunities, and acting as the primary point of contact between clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned individual or corporate insurance clients
- Build long-term relationships by understanding client needs, risk profiles, and coverage requirements
- Ensure timely and accurate responses to client queries and service requests
Policy & Service Management
- Manage end-to-end policy lifecycle including onboarding, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations
- Coordinate with underwriting, operations, and claims teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Support clients during claims processes and ensure resolution within defined SLAs
Retention & Growth
- Drive policy renewals and reduce churn through proactive engagement
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling insurance products based on client needs
- Educate clients on policy features, coverage benefits, and regulatory requirements
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines .
- Maintain accurate client records, policy documentation, and CRM updates
- Ensure KYC and compliance documentation is complete and up to date
Reporting & Analysis
- Track client interactions, service metrics, and renewal pipelines
- Prepare periodic reports on client satisfaction, retention, and portfolio performance
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
- Knowledge of insurance products (Life / Health / General)
- Problem-solving and customer-first mindset
- Ability to manage multiple clients independently
- Familiarity with CRM systems and policy administration tools
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills
Experience
- 5 to 10 years of experience in client management, account management, or customer service within the insurance or financial services industry
- Experience handling renewals, endorsements, and claims coordination is preferred
