The Person leads large-scale operations delivering end-to-end Foreclosure and Bankruptcy support for US-based mortgage and commercial servicing portfolios. This leader will drive process excellence, client engagement, risk control, and transformation initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational accuracy across all foreclosure and bankruptcy stages.

The ideal candidate will have deep functional expertise in US mortgage servicing regulations (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA), commercial real estate (CRE) loan servicing, and default management, coupled with proven experience in managing offshore delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end delivery for Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Loss Mitigation, and REO processes for commercial and residential portfolios.
  • Drive operational governance with measurable KPIs, SLAs, and client scorecard performance.
  • Partner with onshore stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, and timely process completion.
  • Oversee multi-client, multi-process delivery with focus on cost optimization, quality control, and digital transformation.

2. Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client relationship management, governance calls, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with US client teams including servicers, asset managers, trustees, and legal counsel to ensure smooth communication and resolution of escalations.
  • Identify opportunities for value-added services, process improvements, and automation.

3. Domain Expertise

  • Provide subject matter expertise across default servicing lifecycle pre-foreclosure, legal referral, foreclosure sale, property preservation, and REO.
  • Oversee Bankruptcy process stages notice of filing, POC, plan payments, discharge/dismissal, and motion for relief.
  • Ensure compliance with CFPB, OCC, FDCPA, and investor guidelines.
  • Deep understanding of MSP / LPS Black Knight, FISERV, or other loan servicing platforms.

4. People Management

  • Manage and mentor cross-functional offshore teams (100+ FTEs) across multiple geographies.
  • Build domain capability, conduct training, and develop future leaders.
  • Drive culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.

5. Transformation & Digital Enablement

  • Partner with digital and analytics teams to automate manual workflows, develop dashboards, and improve turnaround time.
  • Lead process reengineering and AI/RPA adoption in documentation, QC, and compliance review tasks.
  • Track and report ROI from transformation initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Domain Expertise: Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Loss Mitigation, Default Servicing, REO management
  • Regulatory Knowledge: CFPB, OCC, Investor (FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA) guidelines
  • Commercial Servicing Exposure: CRE loan servicing, CMBS asset management, cash flow analysis
  • Technology Platforms: MSP (Black Knight), FISERV, FIS, Sagent, Tempo, LPS, or similar
  • Leadership & Client Management: Strong governance, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate operational metrics into business insights and strategic decisions
  • Transformation Mindset: Experience implementing digital and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelors / Masters degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven experience managing Foreclosure and Bankruptcy operations for US mortgage portfolios
  • Exposure to offshore delivery environment and client relationship management

Preferred Certifications (Good to Have)

  • Certified Mortgage Servicing Professional (CMSP)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
  • Certification in Risk Management or Compliance
