Job Description
Environmental (including Bio-Engineering) Expert: for SH Project- He/she shall possess minimum-Master's Degree or equivalent in Environment Sciences/ Horticulture/arboriculture /Biology (botany) or related field from a recognized educational institution. Candidate whose CV emonstrates commitment to ontinuing professional development will be preferred.
- The candidate should have about 15 years of post graduate experience.
- He should show 5 years experience in preparing environmental management plans and supervising and monitoring implementation of the plans in road and highway projects of a size similar to those proposed under this Project.
- The candidate should have full knowledge of the World Bank's guidelines, procedures and operational policies/directives.
- And he should have done implementation & monitoring of the roadside plantation and experience of implementation of management strategies and implementation plans (MSIP) to manage ESHS risks (Environmental and Social Management Plan-ESMP).
- The candidate must have the experience of preparing/ implementation/ supervision of Biodiversity management plans and implementation of Bio engineering solutions for road works.
- The candidate should have organized participatory consultation workshops.
- Experience gained on international assignments and/or with internationally funded projects will be preferred.
- Experience gained in administering either FIDIC or other internationally recognized contract documents is required.
- He should be able to communicate fluently in English and demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
- He should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills required to develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Client, contractors and other stakeholders.
- The position will require extensive travel over rough terrain so that preferred age range is from 40-55 years old.
