Job Description
Position Title: Senior Site Civil Engineer
No. of Openings: 02
Experience: 05 to 07 years
Location: Ahmedabad
Salary: Up to 50,000 per month (based on experience)
Joining: Immediate / ASAP
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Site Execution & Supervision
- Plan, execute, and supervise day-to-day civil construction activities as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Ensure work is carried out according to project schedule, quality standards, and safety norms.
- Coordinate and control site activities for RCC, finishing, and allied civil works.
2. Project Planning & Coordination
- Prepare short-term and long-term work programs and monitor progress against targets.
- Coordinate with Project Manager, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical inputs and progress updates.
3. Quality Control
- Ensure construction quality as per IS codes, contract specifications, and approved method statements.
- Conduct inspections and maintain quality checklists, inspection reports, and test records.
- Ensure proper execution of RCC works including shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, and curing.
4. Drawing & Technical Management
- Study and interpret GFC drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
- Resolve site-level technical issues and discrepancies in drawings.
- Ensure implementation of latest approved drawings and revisions at site.
5. Material Management
- Plan material requirements and coordinate timely procurement.
- Verify material quality, approvals, and consumption as per BOQ.
- Maintain records of material receipt, usage, and wastage control.
6. Contractor & Labour Management
- Supervise subcontractors and labour productivity.
- Allocate manpower and machinery efficiently.
- Ensure discipline, safety, and productivity at site.
7. Safety Management
- Implement safety policies and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety inspections.
- Ensure use of PPE and safe working practices at all times.
8. Billing & Documentation
- Prepare and verify running account (RA) bills of contractors.
- Maintain site records, daily progress reports (DPR), and measurement books.
- Support quantity take-off and reconciliation.
9. Client & Consultant Coordination
- Coordinate inspections and approvals with consultants and clients.
- Ensure timely closure of snag lists and observations.
- Assist during audits and statutory inspections.
10. Handover & Close-Out Activities
- Ensure completion of work as per specifications and drawings.
- Support testing, commissioning, and final handover.
- Prepare as-built drawings and completion documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
- 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in site execution for real estate or construction projects
- Strong technical knowledge of RCC, finishing works, and civil construction practices
- Sound understanding of drawings, BOQs, specifications, and construction standards
- Experience in contractor management, material control, billing support, and site coordination
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and site safety practices
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic exposure to ERP / project management systems
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
