Position Overview
The Employee Benefits IT Team is seeking a highly motivated IT professional who will be a part of a team responsible for supporting the Revenue Management and Billing application. This role will be a part of an agile team working in close partnership with business teams to deliver transformational outcomes.
Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate solid technical acumen as well as experience delivering robust technical solutions which adhere to development standards to ensure systems are stable, performant, and secure.
Key Responsibilities
- ORMB configuration
- Java development with use of Co-pilot
- Automated unit testing in alignment with DevSecOps best practices
- Collaborate with team to improve software development practices
- Participate in Agile processes and associated ceremonies
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering
- Mastered knowledge of Java best practices, standards, and design patterns
- Intermediate understanding of ORMB feature configurations, characteristic types, and how to configure them
- Intermediate level configuration of new maintenance and business objects without supervision
- Intermediate level of understanding of ORMB batch program thread work strategies - what they do, when they should be used, etc.
- Intermediate level ability to create new UI screens, or modify existing ones
- Understanding of the RMB build & artifact generation process
- Solid grasp of writing HQL queries, with an understanding of raw Oracle SQL for rare occurrences when necessary
- Intermediate level experience with Github: ability to create branches from the correct base branch, open PRs, perform code reviews, and resolve issues with local git setups if needed
- Intermediate level of experience interpreting application and batch logs
- Intermediate level experience configuring ORMB custom entities
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Splunk is a major plus
- Experience with Github CLI is preferred, but the desktop version is also utilized
