Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DataStage and IWS Administrator to manage and support our ETL and scheduling environments. This role involves administering DataStage projects, handling deployments, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operations of IWS job scheduling. The candidate will work closely with development and operations teams to maintain high availability and performance of critical data integration processes. Mandatory to have IWS (IBM Workload Scheduler) Key Responsibilities Administer IBM DataStage environments (DEV, QA, PROD) including installation, configuration, and upgrades Manage IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) for job scheduling and automation Coordinate deployments and prepare artifacts for DataStage and IWS jobs Monitor system performance and troubleshoot ETL and scheduling issues Ensure compliance with security and governance standards Collaborate with development teams for environment setup and support Implement best practices for backup, recovery, and disaster recovery Provide post-maintenance validation and testing support Required Skills & Qualifications Strong experience in IBM DataStage administration (v11.x or higher) Expertise in IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) administration Proficiency in UNIX/Linux scripting and automation Knowledge of database systems (Netezza, Oracle, or similar) Familiarity with NZSQL commands and bulk data operations Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills Excellent communication and coordination abilities Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with AWS or cloud-based DataStage environments Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL best practices
