Senior Tool Design Engineer:
Job Summary
- Design and development of welding fixture for Shipbuilding and heavy engineer industry
- Design of Fixtures for structures and design calculations.
- Development of 3D models, Drafting in SolidWorks.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- 6-10 years of hands-on experience in concept and product design of welding fixtures, Drill Jig, Lifting Fixture and Access platform using SolidWorks CAD Tool
- Ability to review concept design and provide solutions for welding fixture design and transportation pallets.
- Ability to review manufacturing drawings and quality checks of the team.
- Strong hands-on experience with Solid works CAD software tools
- Good understanding of various Manufacturing processes, Resting, locating, and clamping principles for tooling.
- Good knowledge in GD&T, Limit Fit & Tolerances
- Knowledge and a good understanding of Materials used for Fixture design, welding symbol & manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret product drawings and prints.
- Experience in handling large fabrication, assembly, and tolerance stack analysis.
- Good communication and ability to execute projects independently.
- Exposure of welding structure Jigs and fixture proving process.
- Coordination for Fixture proving at the suppliers place and in the production shop floor.
