Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and optimize database solutions in PostgreSQL and MySQL environments Create, maintain, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions Write and maintain Linux Shell scripts for automation, system administration, and database management tasks Ensure high-performance and reliable database environments by working closely with systems administrators and other team members Collaborate with the development team to design and implement data models and ensure proper data flow Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving any issues as needed Manage database backups, restores, and ensure disaster recovery procedures are in place Provide troubleshooting support and resolve issues related to databases and scripts Perform database upgrades and patching activities as needed Work with team members to handle database migrations and integrations Key Requirements: Proven experience in database development using PostgreSQL (PL/PgSQL) and MySQL Strong knowledge of Linux and Shell scripting to automate processes Experience in creating complex database queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization Proficiency in database administration, including backups, restores, replication, and disaster recovery Strong understanding of database security and data integrity best practices Ability to work independently and handle various database-related tasks in a dynamic environment Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud-based databases and systems Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tuning tools Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker for database container managementJob Classification
