Job Description

A Control Systems Engineer designs, develops, and maintains automated systems for machinery and processes, ensuring they run efficiently, safely, and reliably by integrating hardware (PLCs, sensors) and software (algorithms, programming). Their duties involve creating control logic, troubleshooting issues, collaborating with teams, testing systems, and applying control theory, often in manufacturing, energy, or aerospace sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development: Create new control systems and algorithms for machinery, processes, or equipment.

Programming: Write and implement code for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other automation software.

Testing & Commissioning: Lead the testing, installation, and startup of new systems.

Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve complex issues, signal errors, and performance problems.

Optimization: Improve system efficiency, reliability, and safety, often using data analysis.

Collaboration: Work with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, as well as operations managers.

Documentation: Create models, simulations, and technical reports.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Control Engineering.

Technical Skills: Strong grasp of control theory, electronics, mechanics, PLCs, SCADA, and programming (e.g., Python, C++).

Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.
