Job Title: Scala Developer Big Data Applications
Location: Hyderabad (Work from Office)
Experience: 5 to 9 Years
Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days

About the Role
We are looking for a Scala Developer with hands-on experience in building modern, scalable, and high-performance Big Data applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong programming expertise in Scala, deep understanding of microservice architectures, and practical experience with Elasticsearch, Kafka, and Cassandra.
You will be part of a fast-paced engineering team developing low-latency, high-transactional services for enterprise-scale products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Big Data applications using Scala.
- Develop and deploy REST-based microservices (preferably using Play Framework).
- Work extensively with Kafka for event-driven data processing and real-time communication.
- Integrate and optimize Elasticsearch for advanced data search and indexing capabilities.
- Design data models and manage persistence using NoSQL (Cassandra) and SQL databases.
- Ensure systems deliver low-latency, high-throughput, and high availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, optimize performance, and implement best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration activities.
Key Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a software product development environment building Big Data applications.
- Strong hands-on experience in Scala (functional programming).
- Experience developing RESTful microservices, ideally with Play Framework (MVC).
- Proficiency in Elasticsearch and Kafka messaging for data-intensive applications.
- Experience working with NoSQL and SQL databases, preferably Cassandra.
- Proven experience developing low-latency, high-transactional systems.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and data pipelines.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Git, and modern development practices.
