 Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

  • Project description We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded SW Engineer with a strong background in firmware development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, and debugging embedded software for secure hardware platforms, and will contribute to the architecture and implementation of security features in embedded products.
  • Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for real-time and resource-constrained systems.
  • Work extensively with C programming for low-level firmware and driver development.
  • Develop, integrate, and optimize software on Zephyr RTOS and similar embedded operating systems.
  • Implement and maintain software on ARM Cortex-M/A, RISC-V, or comparable microcontroller/microprocessor architectures.
  • Contribute to the design and integration of security features such as SPDM, TPM, Secure Boot, and OpenSSL-based implementations.
  • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of embedded code using JTAG and other debugging tools.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and validation teams to ensure seamless integration and system-level performance.
  • Use JIRA for issue tracking, test management, and project workflow monitoring.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation of design and implementation details.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers when needed.
  • Skills Must have
  • 5-8 years of experience in embedded systems development.
  • Strong proficiency in C, with experience in low-level programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Zephyr RTOS.
  • Experience with ARM Cortex-M/A, RISC-V, or similar architectures.
  • Experience in debugging embedded code using tools like JTAG
  • Experience with JIRA test management tool and issue tracking Nice to have
  • Hands-on experience with SPDM, TPM, Secure Boot or OpenSSL implementations is a strong plus.
  • Experience of working with diverse multi-locational teams in different time zones
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and a good team player
