Job Description

Project description We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team and play a key role in shaping the foundation of our cloud-native platforms. You will be responsible for driving DevOps best practices, designing scalable and secure infrastructure, and enabling high-velocity software delivery across multiple environments. As a senior technical leader, you'll work closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver resilient platforms for mission-critical financial applications.

Responsibilities

Platform Engineering & Automation

Design and maintain Kubernetes-based environments with blue-green/multi-cluster strategies.

Build scalable CI/CD pipelines leveraging ArgoCD, Jenkins, and GitOps practices.

Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform, Helm, and kubectl.

Infrastructure & Cloud

Architect and operate AWS infrastructure (VPC, EKS, Transit Gateway, RDS, S3, ECR, IAM, etc.).

Design highly available, multi-tier network architectures with secure connectivity to on-prem.

Optimize cost, performance, and scalability across compute, storage, and networking layers.

Lead adoption of infrastructure security best practices (guardrails, detective/preventive controls, encryption).

Observability & Reliability

Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, OpenSearch, and Grafana.

Define and enforce SLOs/SLIs, champion reliability engineering practices.

Lead incident management processes and support blameless postmortems.

Security & SaaS Integration

Implement Zero Trust principles with service mesh, OAuth2 proxies, and ZTNA integrations.

Manage IAM roles, secrets, and access control across hybrid infra and SaaS services.

Integrate and operationalize security and productivity SaaS platforms (e.g., Zscaler, SentinelOne, Twingate, Atlassian stack).

Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, ISO 27001, MAS TRM, and other regulatory frameworks.

Collaboration & Leadership

Partner with product and engineering teams to improve developer experience and platform efficiency.

Mentor engineers on cloud architecture, automation, and SaaS adoption.

Evaluate emerging tools, SaaS offerings, and practices, aligning them with business needs.

Skills Must have

8+ years of DevOps/SRE/Platform engineering experience, with 2+ years in a Staff or Lead role.

Deep expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, and container orchestration patterns.

At least 3-4 years of production Kubernetes experience.

Actively working on production EKS clusters in their current role.

Strong background in CI/CD, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm).

Proven track record with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch/ELK).

Experience managing hybrid infrastructure and SaaS platforms at scale.

Knowledge of distributed systems (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Kafka, MinIO, Solace).

Strong communication, mentoring, and leadership skills. Nice to have
