- ABACUS (EA Tool) experts 8 years experience * 2 Positions
The ABACUS Expert will be responsible for managing and optimizing the Enterprise Architecture (EA) toolset to support strategic planning, architectural governance, project assessments and technology decision-making across all business units. The role ensures ABACUS becomes the single source of truth for application, data and technology landscapes, enabling executives, GMs, VPs and project teams to make informed decisions based on accurate architectural insights.
This position plays a critical role in advancing the architecture maturity by ensuring high-quality modeling, robust dashboards and effective integration of the tool with internal systems.
- Serve as the primary administrator and subject-matter expert for ABACUS.
- Manage users, workspaces, access privileges and architecture governance configurations.
- Design and maintain tailored meta-models.
- Perform repository health checks, optimizations and version control to ensure reliability.
- Develop and maintain architecture models covering Business, Application, Data, and Technology layers across Channels.
- Build accurate, up-to-date catalogs of systems for all technology departments.
- Map integrations between systems supporting retail operations, e-commerce, data platforms, CRM, POS and digital channels.
- Ensure modeling consistency through guidelines, naming standards and reusable patterns.
Build advanced dashboards, heat maps, dependency maps, and capability views tailored for GMs and VPs.
- Expert hands-on configuration of ABACUS meta-models, dashboards, scripts, and integrations.
- Strong understanding of TOGAF, ArchiMate, BPMN, and enterprise architecture practices
- Ability to work closely with GMs, VPs, and senior stakeholders with clear communication and analytical insights.
- Strong visualization skills for simplifying complex architecture information.
- Structured, detail-oriented, and proactive in finding improvement opportunities.
