Job Description
Job Title: Associate Collateral Management
Location: Mumbai Malad / Goregaon (Hybrid Work Model)
Experience: 1+ Years
Qualification: Master Degree or Equivalent
About the Role
Role Summary
Responsible for onboarding, updating, validating, and maintaining Collateral Agreements (CSA, GMRA, GMSLA, ISDA terms) in internal systems. Ensure accurate parameter setup, operational readiness, and cross-functional coordination for collateralized trading and exposure management.
Direct Responsibilities
- Input and validate new, amended, and corrected collateral agreements in Algo.
- Set up key agreement parameters: eligibility, thresholds, MTA, rounding, independent amounts, exposure rules.
- Maintain lifecycle tracking of all agreements (new, amended, terminated).
- Ensure all agreements undergo required 4-eye checks (audit control).
- Maintain proper documentation and store signed/hard copies.
- Terminate obsolete agreements in line with Legal directives.
- Produce MI reports and ad-hoc exposure reports (e.g., crisis management).
- Onboard clients to electronic collateral messaging platforms (e.g., Acadia).
Contributing Responsibilities
- Assess operational impact of agreements under negotiation and flag workflow deviations.
- Represent Collateral Management in discussions with Business, Legal, Credit, Middle Office, and Operations.
- Identify and escalate non-standard or unsupportable clauses with Risk.
Technical Competencies
- Strong product knowledge across derivatives, repos, securities lending.
- Solid understanding of trade lifecycle and OTC margining.
- Good knowledge of CSA, ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA documentation.
- Experience in Collateral Management, Middle Office, or similar IB operations.
- Advanced Excel (vlookups, pivots, data validation)
- At least 1 years of experience in Collateral or Derivatives Operations
Mandatory: Candidates must have experience in global banking or work in an international banking environment.
