Job Title: Sr Platinum Consultant - EC Payroll (Employee Central)
Experience: 15 to 20 Years
Job Location: Multiple Locations
Mode of work: Work from office; Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad
Role Summary
The Senior SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Consultant/Architect will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of ECP solutions for global clients. This role requires deep expertise in payroll processes, statutory compliance, and integration with Employee Central (EC) and third-party systems. The candidate will act as a strategic advisor driving payroll transformation, ensuring best practices, and enabling global payroll operations with high accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end design and implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
Configure payroll schemas, rules, wage types, pay components, time & attendance integration, and other payroll elements.
Architect payroll solutions aligned with global and local statutory requirements (tax, social security, benefits, etc.).
Manage payroll integration with Employee Central, Time Management, Finance, and third-party payroll systems.
Drive data migration, validation, reconciliation, and parallel payroll testing processes.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable payroll solutions.
Provide expertise on compliance, audit requirements, regulatory changes, and governance processes.
Perform troubleshooting and resolve complex payroll issues, ensuring high accuracy and timely delivery.
Oversee UAT, regression testing, cutover planning, go-live activities, and hypercare support.
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, providing guidance on EC/ECP best practices.
Partner with PMO and leadership to deliver large HR/payroll transformation programs.
Support pre-sales, solution design, and RFP responses as a subject matter expert.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in HR, IT, Finance, or related field.
1520 years of experience, including extensive background in payroll operations and HR technology.
10+ years of deep hands-on experience in SAP SuccessFactors ECP and EC integration.
Strong expertise in Payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, pay components, off-cycle processing, retrocalculation, and statutory reporting.
Experience delivering multiple global payroll implementations, including multi-country rollouts.
Strong understanding of SAP HCM Payroll (legacy) is highly desirable.
Proficiency with integration tools such as SAP CPI, APIs, and middleware platforms.
Certification in SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (mandatory) and Employee Central (preferred).
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and leadership skills.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Experience
Experience with hybrid payroll landscapes (ECP + on-premise + third-party payroll).
Knowledge of country-specific payroll regulations (US, UK, EU, APAC, etc.).
Exposure to large-scale HR digital transformation programs.
Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery models.
Background in global HR operations, shared services, or payroll service centers.
