Key Responsibilities:
1. Cybersecurity Strategy & Governance
- Support the implementation of the organizations cybersecurity strategy in alignment with RBI, NPCI, CERT-In, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS frameworks.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and operating procedures.
- Contribute to building a zero-trust security roadmap for cloud-based and API-driven fintech systems.
2. Cloud & Payment Systems Security
- Implement and monitor security controls for UPI, IMPS, AePS, BBPS, and other real-time payment platforms.
- Design and review secure cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, OCI) focusing on encryption, key management, container security, and secure APIs.
- Conduct or coordinate VAPT, red-teaming exercises, and threat modeling for core fintech applications.
3. Risk Management & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure ongoing compliance with RBI Master Directions on Digital Payment Security, NPCI security standards, and data privacy regulations.
- Participate in internal and external security audits, and assist in evidence preparation and remediation tracking.
- Perform cybersecurity risk assessments, business continuity testing, and incident simulations.
4. Security Operations & Incident Response
- Collaborate with the SOC team to monitor security alerts and coordinate incident response activities.
- Maintain and enhance incident response playbooks; support post-incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to improve detection and containment capabilities.
5. Collaboration & Security Culture
- Act as a security advisor to engineering, DevOps, and product teams to promote secure development practices.
- Provide mentorship to junior security analysts and help mature cyber defense processes.
- Support presentations or reports to clients, auditors, and management on security posture and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 710 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security, preferably in fintech, banking, or payments.
- Strong understanding of payment system security (UPI, IMPS, AePS, BBPS), API security, and cloud security.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, IAM, VAPT, and cloud-native security tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (RBI, NPCI, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, CERT-In).
- Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, ISO 27001 LA, or PCI DSS Implementer.
