Role Overview
We're seeking a talented Video Editor to join our creative team. In this role, you'll transform concepts into engaging visual stories across multiple social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube. You'll work closely with our US-based clients and internal marketing teams to deliver high-quality video content that drives brand awareness and engagement.
What You'll Do
Creative Development
- Conceptualize, design, and develop outstanding video and motion graphics assets based on client briefs
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to brainstorm innovative visual solutions
- Create compelling storyboards and scripts that align with brand objectives
- Transform written and verbal concepts into effective visual communications
Video Production & Editing
- Produce high-quality videos optimized for various social media platforms and web distribution
- Edit and incorporate stock footage, music, graphics, and templates as needed
- Ensure all content meets platform-specific requirements (aspect ratios, duration, file sizes)
- Design video advertisements to support multi-platform marketing campaigns
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the Creative Manager on project strategy and review sessions
- Maintain clear, consistent brand communication across all social media channels
- Participate in client calls and feedback sessions as needed
- Coordinate with US team
Quality & Innovation
- Stay current with video trends, social media best practices, and emerging technologies
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for creative innovation
- Ensure all deliverables meet high-quality standards and brand guidelines
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Fine Arts, Multimedia Production, Journalism, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in video editing
- Portfolio/showreel demonstrating your best work is mandatory for consideration
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Strong technical knowledge of video specifications: color correction, frame rates, resolutions, compression
- Experience with audio/visual equipment including cameras, gimbals, and microphones
- Understanding of file management and project organization systems
Creative Skills
- Proven storytelling ability through various editorial techniques
- Strong sense of typography, color theory, and visual composition
- Experience creating motion graphics and animations
- Knowledge of contemporary web and social media design trends
Professional Skills
- Excellent communication and time management abilities
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
Social Media Expertise
- Deep understanding of major social media platforms and their content requirements
- Experience creating platform-specific content (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Knowledge of social media advertising formats and specifications
