Job Description

An Offshore Technician installs, maintains, tests, and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, and sometimes electrical equipment on oil rigs, wind farms, or vessels, focusing on safety and efficient operation, handling everything from high-pressure pumps to complex subsea tools, and documenting all work for projects in oil/gas or renewables.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Commissioning: Setting up and testing new equipment on platforms or ships.

Maintenance & Repair: Performing routine servicing, fault-finding, and repairs on machinery like pumps, engines, and hydraulic systems.

Operations: Operating specialized equipment, such as hydraulic hammers, cutting systems, or control panels.

Safety & Compliance:** Following strict HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality) procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring all work meets offshore standards.

Documentation:** Completing detailed reports, logbooks, and maintenance records (e.g., in systems like Maximo).

Collaboration:** Working with engineers, project teams, and clients to ensure project success.

Onshore Duties:** Preparing equipment, training, or being on call for urgent repairs.
