Role Summary
The MEP Technician will manage electrical, plumbing, basic HVAC, and repair work across Zolo Coliving properties. The role focuses on timely complaint resolution, preventive maintenance, stock tracking, and minimizing vendor dependency by efficiently handling on-ground repairs. The technician ensures safety, system uptime, and resident satisfaction through reliable service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely closure of repair and maintenance (R&M) tickets as per TAT.
- Perform preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance of MEP assets (AC, DG, pumps, panels, plumbing lines, etc.).
- Reduce vendor usage by solving maximum issues in-house.
- Track and maintain store stock and material usage accurately.
- Perform basic AC servicing, plumbing repairs, and minor carpentry tasks (locks, hinges, alignment).
- Follow safety measures, compliance requirements, and SOP guidelines during all work.
- Provide emergency support during off-hours when needed.
- Maintain checklists (PPM & RM) and update daily reports correctly.
- Support project tasks and assist managers with on-ground implementation.
Experience & Educational Criteria
Education:
- ITI or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
- 35 years of experience in MEP/building maintenance/facility operations.
- Background in coliving, hotels, residential property maintenance, or facility management preferred.
Skills:
- Knowledge of electrical repairs, plumbing systems, HVAC basics, and DG checks.
- Ability to do basic carpentry (lock change, door alignment).
- Understanding of preventive maintenance schedules (PPM).
- Vendor coordination and material management.
- Awareness of safety precautions and compliance checkpoints.
