American Express is seeking aGenAI Support Specialisttocontribute to the Security Engineering, Automation & Operations function for Generative AI and Agentic AI technologies. Reporting into the B40 Generative AI Security Engineering & Operations, this roleprovides continuous 24x7 monitoring, triage, and resolution of incidents related to our Generative AI systems and services. This role involves proactive incident review,manage operational risk,quick response to AI-related operational issues, and coordination with engineering and product teams to ensure system reliability, accuracy, and compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform 24x7 operational readiness for GenAI security platforms, with defined SLAs and consequence management workflows.Partner with Security Operations Center to triage, contain, and remediate incidents.Ensure observability, logging, and monitoring provide full operational transparency.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically adept, and comfortable working in a high-availability environment supporting critical AI operationsMonitor GenAI platform dashboards, alerts, and performance metrics around the clock.Detect and assess incidents, classify severity, and initiate response protocols.Perform first-level troubleshooting and escalate issues as required.Maintain accurate and timely incident logs.Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling sensitive or customer-facing AI outputs.Proven experience in a support or operations role, preferably within the AI or tech industry.Strong understanding of Gen AI products and security operations.Strong Security foundational knowledge (ideally in the following categories: SaaS, Network Security, Data Security, Risk)Education:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, AI/ML, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:13 years in technical support, IT operations, or AI/ML systems monitoring.PreferredExposure to Generative AI tools (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, Azure AI, Vertex AI).Cyber Security Certifications such as CISSP,CISM,SANS.GENAI, AI ML certifications.
