Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Review medical records, diagnoses, procedures, and services provided by healthcare providers to assign accurate ICD-10 codes.
Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, regulations, and industry standards for ED (Emergency Department) settings.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to resolve any discrepancies or questions related to code assignment.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
Stay up-to-date with changes in coding guidelines, new technologies, and industry developments.

Desired Candidate Profile

1.5 -6 years of experience as an Emergency Medicine Coder-Profee Required
CPC or CPC-H certified Added Advantage
Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS Level II codes; proficiency in Profee software preferred.
Ability to work independently from home with minimal supervision; strong time management skills required.
