Job Description

Job Summary:


This role is responsible for driving patient acquisition and revenue growth from referral channels across the assigned region. The role involves managing and expanding relationships with doctors, clinics, hospitals, and healthcare partners to promote Manipal Hospital services, strengthen the referral network, and ensure seamless patient coordination from peripheral locations to the hospital.


Roles & Responsibilities:


Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual referral targets.
  • Identify and onboard new referral partners such as consultants, general practitioners, clinics, nursing homes, and diagnostic centers.
  • Track and report referral leads, conversions, and business performance through CRM or lead management tools.
  • Drive patient inflow from Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities to Manipal Hospitals main units in Bengaluru.
  • Conduct territory mapping and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities.

Relationship Management


  • Build and nurture strong relationships with referring doctors, hospital partners, and corporate clients.
  • Conduct regular doctor engagement programs, CMEs (Continuing Medical Education), and outreach visits.
  • Ensure effective communication and service support for all referral partners to build long-term loyalty.
  • Coordinate with the hospitals Referrals Desk and Patient Care teams to ensure smooth patient experience and feedback management.

Operations & Coordination


  • Work closely with internal stakeholders Marketing, Operations, Patient Care, Finance, and Medical Administration for lead tracking, discharge follow-ups, and revenue reconciliation.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of daily field activities, market insights, and potential leads.
  • Collaborate with the corporate marketing team for regional campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Plan and execute medical camps, health check-up drives, and awareness programs to increase community engagement.

Team Management & Reporting


  • Lead a team of Referral Executives and Sales Officers across multiple locations.
  • Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide ongoing mentoring and support.
  • Review weekly and monthly performance dashboards, and present regional business reports to the Zonal Head.
