Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Need to manage cost estimations and ensure accurate cost reporting across products and processes.
  • Should support pricing strategies, track cost efficiencies, and contribute to profitability analysis.
  • Prepare, analyze and calculate product costs including materials, labor, and overhead for new products, existing products for new business & tender business.
  • Providing quotes to the business team for the customers
  • Evaluating the counter offers and finalizing the transfer price
  • Monitor and review Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure cost accuracy in ERP systems.
  • Support pricing decisions by providing detailed cost breakdowns and margin analysis.
  • Review variances between actual and standard costs and provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and finance teams to streamline cost structures.
  • Maintain costing records and ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes with cost-related data inputs.
  • Recommend cost control measures and process improvements to enhance profitability.
  • Responsible for Timely preparing & Analyzing Product Costing, Analysis of Input Raw & Other materials along with Plant Overheads for new products, existing products for new business & tender business.
  • Discuss the product cost variance analysis with Plant Head, SCM, BD Teams & Other Cross Functional Teams (CFT)
  • Business partner with PPIC, Production Team, Warehouse and other departments on Inventory and Cost Optimizations.
  • Continuous Cost Improvement Programs working with various Cross Functional Teams
  • Ensuring timely & accurate updation of SAP/ERP information / entries

Preferred candidate profile


Bachelor's /Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce

  • 6-12 years of experience in cost accounting or costing analysis.
  • Knowledge of Business Finance Analytics and product Costing
  • Proactively manage & drive the functional activities
  • Knowledge of Pharma Processes, Manufacturing costing, Product Pricing and Analysis
  • Proficient in MS Excel, ERP/SAP systems.
  • Knowledge of standard costing, activity-based costing, and product lifecycle costing.
  • Good written and communication Skills
