Role: MIS & Data Analytics Assistant Manager (From Recruitment domain)

Location: Gurugram

Mode: Work from office

Position Overview

The MIS & Data Analytics Assistant Manager will be responsible for leading organizational reporting, data management, and analytics initiatives. The role combines strong MIS competencies with advanced analytical capabilities to support strategic decision-making. This includes developing dashboards, automating reports, analyzing trends, and establishing governance over data processes. Knowledge of Oracle systems is preferred.


Key Responsibilities

MIS Reporting & Dashboard Management

  • Lead the creation and distribution of all daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports across business functions.
  • Build and maintain dashboards that track KPIs such as productivity, financial performance, operational efficiency, and manpower metrics.
  • Establish reporting calendars, templates, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine report formats and improve data storytelling.

Data Analytics & Insights

  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
  • Develop predictive models, performance insights, and scenario analyses to support strategic planning.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis on operational challenges and recommend data-driven actions.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable business recommendations.

Automation & System Enhancement

  • Drive automation of manual reporting processes using Excel (advanced), SQL, Power BI/Tableau, and other tools.
  • Develop data models and ETL processes to streamline reporting workflows.
  • Utilize Oracle ERP/HRMS/Fusion for data extraction, validation, and automated reporting (preferred).
  • Work with IT/BI teams to enhance data warehouse structures, reporting tools, and system integrations.

Data Governance & Quality Control

  • Implement data governance frameworks to maintain data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across systems.
  • Define data dictionaries, SOPs, and audit trails for all MIS and analytics functions.
  • Ensure secure handling of confidential operational and employee data.
  • Support internal/external audits with accurate MIS datasets.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations, HR, Finance, and Business Leaders to understand reporting and analytics needs.
  • Present insights, dashboards, and recommendations to senior management in a clear, concise manner.
  • Act as a strategic advisor for business planning, forecasting, and performance measurement.

Team Management & Capability Building

  • Lead and mentor a team of MIS and data analysts.
  • Allocate tasks, review output quality, and ensure adherence to SLAs.
  • Build capability in advanced analytics, BI tools, and reporting automation within the team.

Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Data Analytics, Statistics, Commerce, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 810 years of experience in MIS, Data Analytics, or Business Intelligence roles, including 24 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Experience in data-heavy industries (BPO, Shared Services, BFSI, IT, E-commerce, Manufacturing) preferred.
