Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly analytical and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as a Policy Point of Contact (POC) for our critical operations, The Policy SME is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of policies, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and effective implementation across all production environments to maintain the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Policy Lifecycle Management & Documentation

  • Support Policy Development: Actively support the entire policy development lifecycle, from initial draft to final release.
  • Comprehensive Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive policy documents, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new policies and detailed documentation of all changes to existing guidelines.
  • Impact Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis concerning the potential impact of policy changes on production throughput, quality, and operator application.

2. Quality Assurance & Calibration Support

  • Ad-hoc Guidance: Provide responsive, on-demand policy calibration support and expert guidance to the quality and production teams.
  • Resource Creation: Develop and maintain supplementary materials, such as quick-reference guides, one-pagers, and visual libraries of error examples to clarify complex labeling scenarios.
  • Policy Cleanup: Proactively identify and resolve inconsistencies or ambiguities in existing policy documentation.

3. Training and Dissemination

  • Policy Roll-out: Facilitate effective and timely policy roll-out by providing clarity on changes and conducting detailed briefings for trainers and operations managers.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Training, Process Excellence (PEX), Business Analysts (BA), and Operations teams to ensure policy understanding and correct application by production operators.
  • Live Monitoring: Partnering with Training/Policy leads to shadow operators during initial production periods

4. Expertise and Analytical Contribution

  • Critical Thinking: Apply critical thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities to interpret complex labeling requirements directly from client Engineering teams.
  • Analytical Reasoning: Demonstrate and utilize prior exposure to analytical and logical reasoning tasks to troubleshoot policy gaps and operational issues.
