Role & responsibilities
Required Experience (Non-Negotiable):
- Has shipped a multi-tenant SaaS product on Azure
- Deep, hands-on experience with:
- Entra ID / OAuth2 / OpenID Connect
- Azure App Service or Azure Container Apps
- Secure API development
- Prior experience with Microsoft 365 solutions
- Office add-ins (Word/Outlook) OR
- Microsoft Graph / tenant apps
- Comfortable owning infra + backend + auth, not just one layer
- Senior-level judgment; able to work independently without hand-holding

Preferred candidate profile
Senior Azure Platform Engineer Microsoft 365 / Entra ID / Office Add-ins (Contract / Fractional)
- Own end-to-end productionization of a Microsoft Word (Office.js) add-in, including manifest hardening and private enterprise (non-AppSource) deployment across Word Desktop and Web.
- Design and deploy a secure Azure backend (App Service or Azure Container Apps) and host the add-in frontend, with a cost-effective, production-ready setup.
- Implement Entra ID (Azure AD) authentication for a multi-tenant SaaS, including admin consent, token validation, and secure Office add-in backend integration.
- Build tenant-aware backend logic with per-tenant, per-user licensing enforcement, allowing enterprises to restrict usage to a fixed number of licensed users.
- Establish minimum enterprise security and operability, including secrets in Azure Key Vault, basic logging/monitoring, HTTPS/CORS, and clear enterprise IT onboarding documentation.
