Job Description: Analyst Reporting & Financial Operations


Location: Bangalore
Experience Required: 2 to 4 Years
Shift Timing: General Shift (Starting between 9:30/10 AM to 7 PM)
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days WFO mandatory)
Contract Duration: 1 Year (with potential extension)
Notice Period: Up to 30 Days
Laptop Provided: Yes

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Reporting & Financial Operations Analyst with strong communication skills and a foundational understanding of financial markets and productsparticularly Fixed Income and Asset Management. The role involves supporting client reporting, data management, operational oversight, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver periodic reports to internal and external clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage and respond to queries and data requests from stakeholders.
  • Maintain task lists and coordinate with teams responsible for sourcing data or generating reports.
  • Track deliverables against defined deadlines, ensuring no lapses occur.
  • Follow the maker-checker process for all deliverables with strict accuracy standards.
  • Conduct periodic risk, issue, and exception reporting for senior management.
  • Participate in functional projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with IT teams for enhancements, issue resolution, or development needs related to reporting tools.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Well versed with MS Office Outlook (Email Management), Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (basic functions, formulas such as Lookup, Pivots, etc.).
  • SQL and macro writing would be an added advantage.
  • Basic understanding of financial products, their performance, and cash flows.

Core Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership.
  • Ability to collaborate with teams across off-site/remote locations.
  • Clear understanding of business requirements and client expectations.

Must-Have Skillset

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Basic knowledge of financial markets/products, especially Fixed Income & Asset Management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (preferably intermediate, minimum basic).

Good-to-Have Skillset

  • Experience in client reporting.
  • Advanced MS Excel proficiency.
  • Exposure to risk reporting, exception tracking, and operational documentation.
