Automation Test Engineer @ Qentelli

Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver, Java, and coding. The ideal candidate should be passionate about test automation, eager to learn new tools like ACCELQ, and able to build high-quality automation solutions within an Agile team.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks (POM, Data-driven, Hybrid, etc.).
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code for automation utilities and components.
• Analyze user stories, design test cases, and convert them into automation scripts.
• Execute automated test suites, log defects, and provide detailed test reports.
• Work closely with developers, QA leads, and product owners in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Perform manual testing where required to support automation coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for coding and test automation.
• Willingness to learn and adopt ACCELQ as part of the automation ecosystem

Required Skills and Qualification

• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.
• Strong programming knowledge in Java (OOP concepts, collections, file handling, debugging).
• Expertise in Selenium WebDriver and advanced test automation techniques.
• Good experience with TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot code and automation flows.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cucumber (BDD).
• Knowledge of API testing or automation (Postman, RestAssured).
• Exposure to ACCELQ or willingness to learn it quickly (mandatory).
• Experience with SQL queries for backend validation.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr).
