Job Description
- As a skilled steel fixer, your role will involve interpreting construction drawings, preparing steel reinforcement bars, and ensuring the structural integrity of concrete elements. You will be responsible for the following key duties: - Study construction drawings and blueprints to understand the specific requirements for reinforcing concrete. - Determine the type, size, and arrangement of steel bars or mesh needed for each project. - Prepare, cut, and bend steel reinforcement bars according to specifications. - Position steel bars within concrete molds to ensure structural strength. - Secure steel bars with binding wire or welding to maintain precise positioning during concrete pouring. - Assemble reinforcement cages for placement within concrete elements. - Ensure all steel work complies with design specifications and quality standards. - Follow strict safety procedures to prevent accidents. To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications: - Experience in steel fixing or related field is preferred. - Ability to interpret construction drawings and blueprints. - Knowledge of safety procedures and proper handling of heavy materials. - Strong teamwork and communication skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
