Job Description

1. Database Design and Management: SQL developers are responsible for designing, implementing, and managing structured database systems using SQLbased technologies. They ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of databases.

2. Writing SQL Queries: They write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers to manipulate data and support application functionality. This includes optimizing queries for performance and efficiency.

3. Collaboration: SQL developers work closely with software engineers, data analysts, and system architects to integrate SQL databases with applications and reporting tools, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility.

4. Database Security and Maintenance: They are responsible for ensuring database security, performing regular backups, and implementing disaster recovery plans. This includes troubleshooting database issues and optimizing performance through regular maintenance.

5. ETL Processes: SQL developers may also develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to manage data from various sources into the database.

6. Technical Skills:

1. Strong knowledge of relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle).

2. Experience with query optimization and performance tuning.

3. Familiarity with database design and normalization principles.

4. Experience with SSIS is optional.
