Job Summary
As a Senior Payments Business Analyst, you will leverage deep industry knowledge to lead business growth and innovation across our payments domain. Youll partner with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and implement advanced payment solutions, ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. Your expertise will shape evolving payment products and processes that drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and develop robust solutions for payments processing, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, launch, and optimize payment products (including SEPA) and services.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation related to payment processes and systems.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks in payments processing.
- Work with stakeholders to craft business cases and define requirements for new payment initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activity in the payments space.
- Ensure alignment of payment processes with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, AML, KYC).
- Drive data-driven decision-making using analytics and reporting tools.
Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory
- 812 years of experience with demonstrated success in the payments domain.
- Strong knowledge of payments lifecycle, including processing, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience with payment schemes (SEPA INST, OPF), as well as card, ACH, and wire transfer systems.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements such as PCI-DSS, AML, and KYC.
- Experience with payment systems/platforms, gateways, and processors.
- Proficiency in SQL and data analytics/reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Good-to-Have
- Prior experience developing payment products for international markets.
- Familiarity with cloud-based payment solutions or fintech platforms.
- Relevant certification in payments or business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CTP).
- Advanced commercial awareness and business acumen.
