Encora is looking for Data Analytics Engineer with 6-8 years experience in data migration, transformation, and validation to support large-scale migration projects. The role involves migrating data from legacy systems to modern data platforms while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration of dashboards, reports, and visualizations to Power BI.
- Translate existing workflows into optimized Power BI reports that align with enterprise data standards.
- Build reusable data models and semantic layers to support self-service analytics.
- Partner with data engineering teams to ensure clean, reliable data sources are available in Power BI.
- Optimize report performance, governance, and usability for global stakeholders.
Collaborate with business teams to train and onboard users into the Power BI ecosystem. - Contribute to BI best practices, documentation, and standardization.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in BI/reporting development.
- Strong expertise in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, performance tuning).
- Hands-on experience with ThoughtSpot (dashboard/report creation, search-driven analytics).
- Solid SQL skills and experience querying Snowflake and/or Azure Databricks.
- Experience with data visualization best practices and storytelling with data.
- Understanding of BI governance, security, and role-based access.
- Experience of working in Agile environments with sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative delivery.
- Exposure to Power BI service administration, APIs, and deployment pipelines (CI/CD) for enterprise BI environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Prior BI migration or cross-platform reporting consolidation experience.
- Knowledge of dbt and modern data stack.
- Familiarity with the insurance domain.
- Exposure to cloud data integration (Azure Data Factory, Synapse).
- Familiarity with integrating AI/ML-driven insights into dashboards is a plus
Communication:
- Facilitates team and stakeholder meetings effectively
- Holds regular status meetings / scrum meeting
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
- Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
- Astute cross-cultural awareness and experience in working with international teams (especially US)
