Job Description
Were looking for a Senior Software Developer who can own backend and web development while driving automation across Zoho products. Youll work closely with business stakeholders, build scalable services, and mentor junior developers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, delivers independently, and enjoys turning messy operational problems into elegant systems.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Develop and maintain web and backend components using Python, Node.js, and Zoho tools (Deluge, Zoho Creator, Zoho CRM, etc.).
- Design and implement custom workflows, integrations, and automations within Zoho products.
- Build, enhance, and manage RESTful APIs for internal systems and client applications.
- Perform thorough code reviews, enforcing best practices, testing standards, and maintainability.
- Debug and resolve production and staging issues quickly, ensuring high system reliability.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, and estimate delivery timelines.
- Write clean, scalable, well-documented code with a strong focus on readability and long-term support.
- Manage and optimize SQL databases, including query tuning, indexing, and schema evolution as business needs change.
- Contribute as a high-ownership individual contributor while mentoring junior developers.
- Ramp up quickly and meet performance expectations within the first month.
Leadership Opportunities:-
- Lead and mentor junior developers through reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
- Drive projects end-to-end independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Act as a technical liaison between engineering and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring solutions match business needs.
Required Skills & Experience:-
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with Zoho products OR proven ability to learn and ship quickly in similar low-code ecosystems.
- Strong communication skills, especially in client or business-facing conversations.
- Ability to work EST hours (5am2pm EST) consistently.
Nice to Have:-
- Prior experience in SaaS automation, fintech, accounting workflows, or operational tooling.
- Experience with the Zoho suite of applications
