Job Description
The Solutions Architect Manager will be responsible for leading their team through ambiguous and complex technical challenges, establishing strategic direction, and ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable solutions. This role requires someone who can think strategically while acting tactically, possessing excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to influence business and technology leaders at all levels, including senior management. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and time zones, manage competing priorities, and adapt to rapidly changing business needs. Technical Leadership
Serve as a trusted technical advisor who leads complex, business-critical projects from requirements through delivery, ensuring scalable, data-driven solutions while advancing organizational capabilities and thought leadership. Strategic Planning Execution
Define team goals by working backwards from customer problems, contribute to 1-3 year strategic initiatives, establish success metrics, and navigate ambiguous situations while balancing short-term delivery with long-term organizational needs. Stakeholder Management Communication
Negotiate priorities across teams, present recommendations to senior leadership, and foster constructive dialogue that harmonizes competing viewpoints while using Amazons mechanisms to communicate decisions effectively. Process Improvement Operational Excellence
Drive continuous improvement by establishing best practices, simplifying processes, and optimizing project delivery to reduce repeated work and increase team efficiency.
Bachelors degree
3+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
Experience hiring, developing, and managing high-performing technical teams AWS Professional level certification
Experience with data scripting languages (eg SQL, Python, R etc) or statistical/mathematical software (eg R, SAS, or Matlab)
Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
