Role & responsibilities
- Customer Overview: Its a consulting firm specializing in real estate, mainly in North America, and Wipro acts as a subcontractor. The current engagement has 8 people, with plans to scale to 2530 quickly.
- Role Requirements: The new hire is for a property accounting role expected to review and sign off on financials, ensure compliance with US GAAP, and handle variance analysis and stakeholder communication. Strong technical skills and the ability to explain financials are critical.
- Team Structure & Growth: The new leader will oversee the current 78-member team (including Akash Gupta) and is expected to scale the team to 2530 as the account grows.
- Candidate Sourcing: Focus is on US property accounting experience, but candidates with strong fundamentals in Indian/IFRS accounting and exposure to US GAAP (e.g., via subsidiaries) can be considered if they can upskill.
Job Description:
- 10+ US Property Accounting Experience - ideally commercial
- at least 5+ years as a manager/reviewer of detailed property level financials and support
- Review or preparer of CAM recs
- Experience writing and reviewing budget to actual variance analysis
- Experience following client capex policies, reviewing invoices to ensure compliance (expense vs. capex, leasing related capex)
- Experience following client bad debt policies and reviewing the AR and financials to ensure compliance
- Experience preparing and reviewing balance sheet support schedules (workpapers)
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- Strong organization skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Manager experience - training and developing new accountants
- Experience creating training materials
- Experience with Process improvement (ideas, design, implementation)
- Yardi and MRI experience preferred
- Accounting degree
Preferred candidate profile :
- Candidate Should have Strong Property accounting experience.
- Candidate should have worked on US GAAP.
- Candidate interested to work remotely.
