Performance Test Lead @ Datamatics

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Lead to lead end-to-end performance testing activities. The candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance test scenarios using industry-standard tools such as JMeter, K6, and LoadRunner, ensuring the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of the application under various workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead performance testing strategy, planning, and execution for all modules under the program.
• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs), workload models, and performance benchmarks.
• Develop and maintain performance test scripts, data, and environment configurations in JMeter, K6, and LoadRunner.
• Conduct various types of performance tests including load, stress, endurance, spike, and scalability testing.
• Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide tuning recommendations.
• Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and system architects to resolve performance issues.
• Prepare detailed performance test reports with trends, graphs, and RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
• Ensure test coverage aligns with business SLAs and system performance objectives.
• Guide and mentor junior performance testers in the project.
• Support CI/CD integration for performance test execution and reporting.

Required Skills & Tools

• Hands-on experience with Apache JMeter, K6, and LoadRunner (VuGen & Controller).
• Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies, metrics, and KPIs.
• Experience in scripting and parameterization for API, web, and database performance tests.
• Good understanding of HTTP/S, REST APIs, SQL, JVM, CPU/Memory utilization, and server performance counters.
• Expertise in analyzing APM tools like Dynatrace, New Relic, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and integration with performance testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
