Python Automation Tester @ Calsoft

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python for functional, regression, and API testing.
• Design and implement test cases leveraging Pytest and other Python-based frameworks.
• Perform API testing (REST/GraphQL) using tools like Postman, Requests, or similar libraries.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Ensure test coverage and maintain documentation for automation processes.
• Collaborate with QA, development, and product teams to improve overall software quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Hands-on experience with Pytest for test automation.
• Solid understanding of API testing concepts and tools.
• Familiarity with RESTful services, JSON, and HTTP protocols.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of test reporting tools (e.g., Allure, HTML reports).
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Exposure to performance testing or security testing.
