Job Description

"Cambridge University Press (a global publishing company based in the UK) has recently set up India Operations Centre ( IOC ) at Tech Mahindra's facility in Hyderabad. The staff based in the IOC work as integrated members of global teams that develop and publish (both in print and digital formats), a wide variety of English Language Teaching ( ELT ) and Education materials along with Academic books and journals. A wide range of roles (spanning Editorial, Production, Marketing and Supply Chain Fulfillment) are being created and we are currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced team members from publishing as well as non-publishing backgrounds. "

SUMMARY OF THE POST

The Salesforce Marketing Executive provides valuable support to a global marketing team through efficient data management and maximizing the capability within Salesforce and the Marketing Cloud, and help deliver cost-effective, revenue generating activity for the business by implementing, executing and maintaining a series of automated campaigns to support our core marketing activity.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Customer Data Management

    • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to maintain a customer data strategy to help deliver cost-effective, revenue generating activity for the business
    • Ensure customer data is available for our day to day activity and is fit for purpose
    • Provide metrics, data analytics and reports to help inform marketing activity and strategic decisions
    • Maintain data in Salesforce including entry, updates cleansing and deduping
    • Work alongside the Digital Marketing Manager and colleagues in Technology and other departments to implement new data feeds to and from Salesforce - both manual and automated
    Automation

    • Work with our global marketers to setup, maintain and optimize emailmarketingcampaigns utilizing SalesforceMarketing Cloud
    • Build new and update existing marketing automation programs including programme design, email creation, landing page creation, configuration, coding, testing, deployment and analysis
    • Support the DigitalMarketingManager in the development of new business requirements, evaluation new proposals and advise on best practice
    • Use data analysis to understand the potential impact of any changes to the automation programme and advise accordingly
    • Triage the backlog of requests and fixes with the Digital Marketing Manager to agree priorities on a weekly basis
    • Complete stringent QA and UAT before new processes or enhancements are launched
    • Identify and resolve technical issues with both HTML newsletters and attributes of the automated programme
    • Support the department with AMPscript, HTML and SQL queries and to create workflows and templates
    • Maintain detailed knowledge and documentation on datasets driving automation programmes
    • Research new and innovative technology and techniques to improve the automated marketing process
    General

    • Produce robust process workflows and documentation for new and amended procedures and communicated to all effected parties including training where necessary
    • Responding to queries on customer data and automation, providing information where required
    • Work according to best practise, GDPR and Press policies such as Privacy and Direct Marketing
    • Keeping abreast of the latest marketing theory, technologies and best practice to improve marketing ROI and actively test new marketing techniques

Required Candidate profile

  • Essential

    • At least 18 months relevant experience in Sales Force as an end user along with digital marketing experience
    • Proficient in CRM and data management
    • Excellent working knowledge of Salesforce and the Marketing Cloud suite of products
    • Extensive practical experience of implementing automation through Journey Builder
    • Ability to write and interpret AMPscript, HTML and SQL
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Flexible approach to work
    • Good attention to detail
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Efficient time management and ability to multitask
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening and presentation skills in English

    Desirable

    • Education to degree level or above
    • Data analytic skill
    • Experience adhering to legal requirement and data best practise
    • Commercial awareness
    • Direct experience of publishing
    • Professional marketing qualification
    • Proof reading experience
    • Copywriting experience
