Job Title: Mechanical Equipment Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Job Summary:
The Mechanical Equipment Engineer is responsible for the design, maintenance, calibration, and optimization of mechanical equipment used in electronics manufacturing. This role ensures equipment reliability, supports production efficiency, and complies with industry standards such as ISO and GMP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development:
- Design mechanical systems and fixtures for manufacturing and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical solutions into EMS processes equipment and automation lines.
- Strong knowledge in the pneumatic, Hydraulics, and Equipment drawings
- GD & T
- Knowledge handle Manual, semiautomatic and Fully automatic line development,process qualification and continuous improvements.
- Good Collobotator -Collaborate with electrical, maintenance, safety teams and other stake holders for Equipment delivery,process qualification and equipment capability enhancement activities
- Maintenance & Calibration:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
- Ensure calibration of inspection and test equipment per quality standards.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization:
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze performance data to improve equipment reliability and throughput.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, calibration, and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, ISO standards, and customer requirements.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Interface with equipment vendors for service, upgrades, and procurement.
- Support training programs for operators and technicians on equipment usage and safety.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in equipment engineering within EMS or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems in high-volume production.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
