Job Title: OpenShift Expert
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy tools/scripts for cloud deployments.
Manage incident tickets and respond to alerts; perform system patching.
Install, upgrade, patch, and monitor OpenShift platform.
Automate provisioning and capacity management using IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless deployments.
Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and champion DevSecOps best practices.
Design and implement cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
Develop architecture plans ensuring security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Lead and mentor cloud engineers; act as Azure SME.
Oversee deployment, management, and maintenance of cloud applications.
Automate deployment/configuration using ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure Bicep.
Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Monitor and optimise cloud performance; implement cost management strategies.
Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations.
Implement IAM, network security, and data protection measures.
Drive continuous improvement and participate in architecture reviews.
Technical Skills:
Strong experience with Kubernetes, AKS, and OpenShift (greenfield setups).
Deep Azure expertise in security, automation, and deployment.
Proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and containerisation (Golang apps).
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Azure DevOps).
Experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Prometheus/Grafana).
Security tools: Open Policy Agent, Aquasec.
Advanced scripting in Shell, Golang, Python; PowerShell/Bash for automation.
Familiarity with Azure networking, storage, databases, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible/Chef).
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors in Computer Science/IT; Masters preferred.
Experience: 10+ years in OpenShift and cloud architecture (Azure focus). Proven track record in large-scale cloud solutions.
Certifications: Relevant AKS/OpenShift certifications
