Job Description
Desired Competencies
Technical/Behavioral Competency
Must-Have:
- Hands-on experience on creating Ansible scripts (.yml) to automate infrastructure tasks.
- Good understanding of IT Infrastructure.
- Should collaborate with DevOps SME for creating pseudocode on automation workflow and convert actual script based on pseudocode.
- Hands-on experience in installing Ansible Tower.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design automation solutions that meet business requirements.
- Create high-level and low-level design of Automation platform architecture using Ansible Tower.
- Should be able to integrate Gitlab or other version control through Ansible Tower.
- Experience in any ITSM products integration using REST API.
- Python scripting.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar.
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Terraform, Puppet, or Chef.
- Collaborate with the project manager and DevOps SME to understand the customer objective and key deliverables along with the timeline.
- Responsible for creating Ansible automation scripts independently to automate infrastructure tasks.
- Understand the requirements from DevOps SME and create pseudocode of automation workflow, then create actual scripts based on pseudocode.
- Define scripting standards and best practices to be followed.
- Communicate appropriately to all stakeholders, including risks and mitigation plans.
- Meet project deadlines as agreed with the project manager and DevOps SME.
- Create documentation on the developed scripts and conduct knowledge sharing sessions with the customer.
