Role: SAP MM Lead
Hyderabad - Hybrid
Fulltime
Experience: 8-10 Years
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA MM Lead Consultant with 810 years of functional expertise in Materials Management, Procurement, and Inventory Management. The consultant will lead solution design, drive S/4HANA implementation and migration projects, and ensure best-practice P2P processes using SAPs latest capabilities. The role requires strong client engagement, configuration depth, and delivery leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. S/4HANA Functional Leadership
Lead S/4HANA MM implementations, migrations (ECC to S/4), rollouts, and enhancement projects.
Conduct Fit-Gap analysis, S/4HANA Best Practices adoption, and activate methodology workshops.
Drive Fiori-based process enablement, including app configuration and process redesign.
2. Core MM Functional Expertise
Hands-on configuration in:
Procurement PR, PO, RFQ, Contracts, Scheduling Agreements, Source Lists
Inventory Management GR/GI, Reservations, Physical Inventory
Material Master & Vendor Master (BP concept)
Split Valuation, Batch Management, Serial Number Management
Pricing Procedures, Release Strategies, Account Determination
Subcontracting, Consignment, STO, Third-Party Procurement
Invoice Verification, LIV, GR/IR Clearing
Experience in S/4HANA-specific innovations like:
Business Partner (BP) mandatory model
Material Ledger & Actual Costing
Fiori apps for Procurement & Inventory
Advanced MRP (aMRP) & S/4 embedded analytics
3. Cross-Functional & Technical Integration
Strong integration with FI/CO, SD, PP, QM, WM/EWM, and Ariba (preferred).
Collaborate with ABAP/Technical teams for WRICEF development (Reports, Enhancements, Interfaces, Conversions, Forms).
4. Project, Stakeholder & Delivery Management
Lead a team of MM functional consultants and coordinate end-to-end delivery.
Manage requirements, blueprinting, testing (SIT/UAT), cutover, and go-live.
Handle project governancestatus reporting, risk/issue management, and change controls.
Support data migration strategy using LTMOM, LTMC, BAPIs, and templates.
5. Testing, Deployment & Support
Prepare test scripts, execute test cycles, and ensure quality deliverables.
Drive cutover planning, master data readiness, hypercare support, and stabilization.
Provide ongoing AMS support and continuous process optimization.
Technical Skills
Strong configuration expertise in SAP S/4HANA MM and end-to-end P2P processes.
Knowledge of:
Fiori apps / tiles
S/4HANA embedded analytics
Material Ledger mandatory setup
IDoc, BAPI, OData, AIF, PI/PO interfaces
Experience using SAP Activate Methodology.
Soft Skills & Leadership Competencies
Excellent communication, process documentation, and client-facing abilities.
Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
Capable of leading teams, mentoring juniors, and managing offshore/onshore models.
Ability to work in dynamic, multi-country, cross-functional environments.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering/Commerce/Science.
SAP S/4HANA MM Certification preferred.
